Firewood for our kitchens in Gathiga & Gilgil
At both project locations – in Gathiga and Gilgil – firewood is the heart of every meal. In Gathiga alone, we prepare three meals a day (morning tea, lunch, and dinner) for around 40 children. This means we use a significant amount of wood every week!
Sometimes, generous supporters from the region bring us bundles of firewood, which is a great help. On other days, we have to purchase the wood to keep our cooking stoves going.
Whether donated or purchased – the continuous supply of firewood enables us to serve every child warm, nutritious meals day after day.
