Sometimes you just need a day to pause, say thank you and spend time together. We recently had the opportunity to experience just such a moment with our team from Gathiga and Gilgil, our volunteers and other helpers.
We gathered at Bamboo Dam to spend a special day together. With good food, boating, swings, a bouncy castle and ziplining, one thing took centre stage: community. We laughed, talked and left everyday life behind for a moment.
Our employees and supporters do an incredible amount every day. With heart, patience and great dedication, they accompany children and young people, take care of procedures in the home and take on responsibility – often in the background and as a matter of course. This day was a small opportunity to appreciate all of that.
