One of our biggest expenses—apart from school fees—is the cost of food for our two projects. To reduce this burden and become less dependent on donations, we have started growing our own food in Gilgil.
Currently, we grow maize, potatoes, beans, onions, and cabbage, among other crops. However, this has only been possible during the rainy season. That is about to change: thanks to our new well in Gilgil, we will soon be able to farm all year round. This will ensure that our children and young people are consistently provided with fresh food.
